FOYLES LAUNCH, Monday, 8th JULY 2019

On Monday, 8th July, my agent, Annette Crossland of A for Authors Literary Agency, hosted a book launch party at Foyles, Charing Cross Road, to celebrate the publication of my debut novel, The Scribe, and that of my fellow author, Awais Khan, whose brilliant novel, In The Company of Strangers also comes out this month.  The event ran from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, and was a great success, attended by publishers, book reviewers, fellow authors, friends, family and representatives from The Crime Writers’ Association, The Society of Authors and other industry professionals. After mingling with our guests, Awais and I both read extracts from our novels, and were then lucky enough to be interviewed by award winning crime fiction critic and blogger, Ayo Onatade, which was a real thrill and privilege. We then signed books and chatted some more with our guests, before the evening came to a close.

To launch my first published novel at Foyles and share a little about my journey to publication with Ayo and the audience was so exciting, a dream come true, and certainly the highlight of my writing career to date. It’s a memory I will always treasure, and I am very grateful to those who attended to help make the occasion so special.

Huge thanks to Sabine Edwards of Pendleton Events Ltd, Kirstie Long, Ayo Onatade and of course, my wonderful agent, Annette, for all their hard work in ensuring that the evening ran so smoothly.

Many thanks also to Chris Boland (www.chrisboland.com) who took the official photographs.
